The Atlanta Jazz Festival latest instalment in their Late-Night Concert series features vocalist and songwriter Lauren Henderson. The event will take place on Saturday, May 25th at 10 p.m. at Park Tavern, 500 10th Street NE.
Henderson’s compositions paint stories of the African Diaspora in connection to her Panamanian, Montserratian, and Caribbean roots. Her music infuses flavors of Jazz, Latin Jazz, Flamenco, R&B and Soul.
Henderson’s original music was featured in the movies El Juego de Las Llaves (2022) and The Drowning (2016), and in the Broadway production of Romeo y Julieta (2021).
Embarking on her 10th world tour, Henderson has performed in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Norway, Russia, Mexico, and South Africa.
Henderson combines her passion for music, philanthropy, and business as the CEO of Brontosaurus Records.
