The Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center has appointed a new executive chef, who has plans to re-invent the menu.

Rafael Quinones, a native of Puerto Rico, brings more than two decades of culinary experience to the city, according to a press release.

“We are delighted to welcome Chef Quinones to our team,” said Bill Haggett, Executive Director of the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, according to the release. “Chef Quinones’ culinary excellence and leadership will undoubtedly enhance our venue’s culinary offerings and guest experiences.”

Quinones graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and has demonstrated a keen understanding of current food trends and regional tastes, the release said. He is proficient in menu planning and has a strong focus on profitability and cost control.

Before joining the city, Quinones held executive culinary positions at establishments, including the Colee Hotel in Atlanta, the Hilton Miami Blue Lagoon Resort, and The Row Hotel in Somerville, Massachusetts.
