BASEBALL

In the Patriot League, Sean Hallissey struck out 10 as Plymouth North (12-2) blanked Silver Lake,  10-0. … Gabriel Knudsen sat down 16 batters in a complete game two-hitter, setting the tone for Hanover in a 2-0 shutout win over Plymouth South.

Matt Stuart struck out 10 and allowed two hits as Chelmsford blanked Central Catholic 5-0 in the Merrimack Valley Conference. Jack Keyo had three hits and three RBI for the Lions. … Sean Napolatano hit an eighth-inning walk-off for Andover in a 5-4 triumph over Lowell.

Ethan Santos allowed four hits and one run over five innings as Somerset Berkley defeated Old Rochester 11-1 in the South Coast Conference.

In the Bay State Conference, Jack Reyes went the distance with 8 strikeouts as Weymouth edged Needham 1-0. … Wellesley couldn’t be held within the park in a 9-6 win over Newton North in eight innings, benefitting from a pair of blasts from Tate Bannish (four RBI) and two-run homers from Luke Miele and Max Boehm.

Emmett Moynihan drove in a pair of run, while Conor Gavin tossed a complete-game two-hitter as Waltham (8-7) defeated Boston Latin 5-0 in the Dual County League.

Nicholas Nasiff (2-for-5) saved the best of his three RBI for last, driving in Brock Winslow with two outs in the ninth inning to help Bishop Stang edge Dartmouth, 6-4.

An efficient day at the plate from Jaylon Richardson (2-for-2, home run, three RBI, two runs), Dan Ferris (2-for-2, three RBI, two runs) and Hudson Weidman (2-for-3, two RBI, two runs) propelled Pingree (12-3) to a 12-1 win over Landmark in five innings.

Seniors stepped up for Norwood (12-4) in a 10-3 Tri-Valley League win over Medfield, featuring 11 strikeouts from pitcher Zack Badger, a home run from Giacomo Serratore, and a 3-for-3 day from Jerry Frey.

BOYS LACROSSE

Matt Whitaker, Jay Comeau and Gavin Donovan each buried hat tricks as Cardinal Spellman bested St. Mary’s of Lynn, 13-6, in Catholic Central League action. D’Anthonay Amado had six assists and a goal in the win.

In South Shore League play, Hunter Grafton posted five goals with five assists and Matt Grafton (two assists) also scored five goals as Abington topped Middleboro, 18-8.

Cooper Masso led the way with five goals and three assists as Bishop Feehan edged Bishop Hendricken 12-11 in a nonleague contest.

Liam Kearney’s nine points (four goals) and Chase Russo’s eight points (six assists) charged Swampscott to a 22-2 Northeastern Conference win over Saugus.

GIRLS LACROSSE

In nonleague action, Bree Lunedei led with two goals and one assist as Bourne upended Upper Cape 8-6. … Alex Proefrock and Kelly Blake each had five goals and two assists as Medfield took down Norwell 20-17. … A hat trick from Claire Latham led six different scorers for Bishop Feehan (10-4), getting just enough to edge Bridgewater-Raynham, 10-9.

In the Catholic Central League, Avery Valencenti paced things with a nine-point (six goals, three assists) effort, as Archbishop Williams stunned Arlington Catholic, 17-16, in overtime.

Jillian Gillis erupted for four goals and Charlize Collins and Ava Robitaille each scored hat tricks to help Burlington top Wilmington, 18-2, in Middlesex League play.

SOFTBALL

Edy Latour hit two home runs and drove in three as Dighton-Rehoboth defeated Apponequet 5-4 in the South Shore League.

In the Tri-Valley League, Julia Walsh hit a walkoff single to drive in Abbey Keyes to left Dedham over Medway 5-4.

Delaney Moquin struck out 12 and allowed two hits as Silver Lake (13-2) defeated Plymouth North 8-2 in a Patriot League tilt. .. Junior Bilyana Wilkin tossed a complete game, allowing five hits while striking out nine as Hingham defeated Marshfield, 6-3.

Sharlotte Stazinski struck out 12 in a one-hitter as Walpole topped Braintree 7-1 in Bay State Conference play. … Fueled by a combined no-hitter from Zahria Daley and Sophie Fish, as well as home runs from Abby Hunt and Victoria Fish, Milton (13-1) routed Brookline 11-0.

Sophomore Sofia Duran’s three-run jack in the top of the eighth inning gave Fontbonne what it needed in extra innings to outlast nonleague foe Bristol-Plymouth, 8-7. … Bella Medeiros batted 4-for-4 with three RBI and Adrianna Delaney went 3-for-4 with three runs, powering Methuen in a 15-1 win over Westford Academy. … A big day at the dish from Brooke Moloney (3-for-3, two runs, double, triple, three RBI) and Michaela Walker (1-for-4, homer, three RBI) backed Aliza Crean-Oviedo from the circle (three hits, nine strikeouts) as St. Mary’s of Lynn (9-2) rolled past Notre Dame Academy of Hingham, 9-1. … Olivia Araujo (2-for-3, RBI, run) complemented a home run from Zoe Teixeira to fuel Greater New Bedford (8-8) in a 5-3 win over Bourne. … Bella Silva and Mylee Ramer hit back-to-back doubles in the seventh inning, plating the go-ahead run for Bishop Feehan in a 2-1 win over Franklin.

Penelope Riggs (3-for-4, three RBI) doubled twice while Anna Gardner (3-for-4, two RBI) and Abby Aiello (3-for-3) each doubled and tripled, leading a powerful day at the plate to lift Manchester-Essex over Ipswich, 9-3, in Cape Ann League action. … Emma Penniman struck out 13 batters but made her biggest impact with a two-run home run in the eighth inning as Triton beat Newburyport, 9-4. … Molly Degnan’s grand slam at the plate helped Hamilton-Wenham rout Rockport, 20-2.

Freshman Lidia Miedema needed just 62 pitches to toss a no-hitter, fanning six for Beverly (12-2) in a 4-0 Northeastern Conference win over Marblehead. Fellow freshman Sophia Balducci batted 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in the win.

Alice Cooprider’s two-run smash backed another sensational performance from pitcher Alyx Rossi, who led Bedford (14-1) to a 7-0 Dual County League win over Acton-Boxboro with a 21-strikeout no-hitter.

Julia Walsh delivered in the clutch with a walk-off single, lifting Dedham over Medway, 5-4, in Tri-Valley League action.

BASKETBALL

Duxbury athletic director Jeff Maidment announced that Richard Henninger has been appointed as the new boys basketball coach, replacing Gordon Cushing, who resigned following the 2024 season. Henninger has been the assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team as well as working with the Duxbury Recreation department running summer basketball camps.

“I am beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to be the head varsity coach of the Duxbury boys’ basketball program,” Henninger said. “To be the coach of a program I grew up playing for, in a town I love, is a dream come true. I am so fortunate to be brought up in a program that has been characterized by such greatness. To not only get to watch past players and coaches, like Gordon Cushing and Bill Curley, but get to learn from them and benefit from their mentorship, is such a blessing.”

VOLLEYBALL

Chris Milfort set a single-game kills record for Durfee with 31, leading a 3-1 nonleague win over Bellingham.

Jack Gwozdz dished 20 assists alongside 12 kills and five digs, pairing with 20 kills and 11 digs from Colin Stuessi, as well as 26 assists from Aryen Rodriguez Cordon, to lead Greater New Bedford over Quincy 3-0 in Southern Alliance action. … Brady Kundel slammed down 15 kills for Barnstable in a 3-0 win over Taunton.

Shawn Laduke dished 29 assists for Methuen (13-2) in a 3-0 Merrimack Valley Conference sweep of Haverhill. … Jaithian Medina’s 13 kills and Deryl Atem’s 12 kills led the Central Catholic attack in a 3-2 win over Lawrence.
