A path in Maine full of “scenic magic” is one of the best hikes in America, according to Conde Nast Traveler.

The travel publication recently released a list of the best hikes in the U.S. and included the Beehive Loop Trail at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. The park’s trail was named the best short hike in the nation.

Here is what the publication wrote about the Beehive Loop Trail:

Though only a mere 1.9 miles in length, this climb through Acadia National Park packs enough scenic magic to make it well worth the trek to Mt. Desert Island. The course is steep, and requires scaling ladders and iron bars to reach the summit, but hikers are rewarded with impressive views, including of Sand Beach and the nearby Gulf of Maine.

Acadia National Park, New England’s only national park, offers 27 miles of historic motor roads, 45 miles of carriage roads, and 158 miles of hiking trails.

Last year, Fodor’s Travel named the Beehive Loop Trail among the 13 most iconic national park attractions in the U.S. and U.S. News & World Report named Bar Harbor the best small town in America.
