A toddler was flown to a Boston hospital after being bitten by a dog in Wellfleet Sunday afternoon, officials said.
Wellfleet Fire and Police Departments responded to 100 East Hill Road at approximately 2:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of a dog bite, police said in a statement.
The victim, a 2-year-old child, was bitten by a Pitbull mix, officials said.
The child was taken to Cape Cod Gateway Airport in Barnstable, where they were flown to a Boston Hospital by MedFlight.
The toddler’s injuries are not considered life threatening, police said.
The incident is under investigation by Wellfleet Police.
