A lemonade shop owned by one of Atlanta’s youngest entrepreneurs will open later this year at Terminal South in Peoplestown.

Jase Kurtz, who founded Jase’s Lemonade when he was just seven years old, will take over the shipping container currently home to the Terminal South leasing office and transform it into a lemonade shop serving grilled cheeses and over 20 types of customizable lemonades and lemonade slushies.

People can create lemonade or slushie combinations with flavors like watermelon, strawberry, mint, and guava and add drink toppings, including gummy bears, sour worms, and Pop Rocks.

Look for grilled cheese sandwiches served on sourdough bread such as the Gooey Nostalgia made with double American cheese and the Bank Vault with gruyère. All sandwiches come with kettle chips.

Kurtz began selling his lemonade in 2021 alongside his parents at local events. Seeing their son’s potential and the success he found at events around town, the Kurtz family turned the lemonade stand into a full-fledged business. They purchased a food truck in 2022 and continued appearing at private events, festivals, and the Decatur food truck park while scouting permanent locations to open Jase’s Lemonade in Atlanta.

The young business owner, who counts math among his favorite subjects at school and mango-pineapple lemonade with sour worms as his favorite lemonade combo, hopes to become an engineer someday.

Terminal South broke ground earlier this year and should open in the fall with two restaurants, including Pur Zen Mimosa Wine Bar. Located in two former warehouses on the Terminal South property, Switchman Hall food hall will feature 18 restaurant stalls and a cocktail bar

Terminal South is the last stop on MARTA’s rapid bus transit (BRT) expansion stretching from Downtown to Peoplestown near the Southside BeltLine trail.

1160 Ridge Avenue, Peoplestown, Atlanta.
