BASEBALL

In an Independent School League game, Jack Murray finished with a home run and five rbi to lead Nobles to a 9-0 victory over Middlesex. … Jeremy Krendel tossed a complete game shutout with 10 strikeouts as St. Mark’s blanked St. George’s, 2-0.

Tyler Ladouceur pitched five and two third innings for the win while also scoring three runs, including a two run homer, as Bellingham beat Dover-Sherborn 3-1 in a Tri-Valley League matchup.

Georgetown (15-0) remained perfect with a 7-0 victory over Cape Ann foe, Ipswich as Hayden Ruth and Ethan Lee combined for a one-hitter while Lee added three hits and three RBI. … Ben Dahlsteadt pitched three  innings of relief to pick up the win, while Nick Groussis added a three-run double as Lynnfield edged North Reading, 6-5.

In a South Coast Conference game, Nathan Levesque pitched a complete-game shutout with eight strikeouts as Apponequet (11-4) blanked Somerset Berkley, 1-0.

In a Dual County League matchup, Isaac Shatsoff fanned seven while Luke Fredette finished with three hits, two runs and an RBI as Waltham blanked Acton-Boxboro, 8-0.

Liam Powers was six-for-six with six runs scored, four RBI, and three stolen bases in a Mystic Valley double header win (8-0, 12-1) over Kipp in the Commonwealth Conference.

In a Merrimack Valley Conference matchup, Ben Barrasso got the final two outs with the winning run in scoring position as Tewksbury held off Dracut, 5-4.

GIRLS LACROSSE

In Bay State action, Megan Doyle finished with six points and Mira Flaherty added three points to power Weymouth past Needham, 12-8.

In the Northeastern Conference, Avery Laundry and Cecilia Tripp each scored hat tricks as Swampscott defeated Saugus ,17-3.

Bailey Lower scored eight goals and had four assists while Emerson Pekarcik added another six and four assists as Nantucket recorded an 18-4 win over Cape Cod Academy in the Cape and Islands league.

Meghan Lesniak finished with five goals and Emma Finch added three goals to lead Greater Lowell past Whittier, 16-3 in a Commonwealth contest.

In the Merrimack Valley Conference, Catherine Craig notched four goals while Taija Bell and

Katherine Morin each added hat tricks to lead Chelmsford to a 14-12 win over North Andover.

In a Cape Ann contest, Allie Wile finished with seven points (five goals, two assists) while Estelle Gromko (three goals, three assists) and Halle Greenleaf (three goals, three assists) added six points apiece to lead Ipswich to a 20-13 victory over Lynnfield.

In the Merrimack Valley Conference, Kerri Finneran netted four goals, Kierstyn Zinter and Nicolette Licare both notched three goals, and Abby Yfantopulous added two more (100th career goal) as Central Catholic clinched the MVC Championship with a 16-4 win over Billerica.

Maddy Geagan (three goals), Shannon Balfe (two goals), Lily O’Donnell (one goal, one assist), Leah Cranshaw (one goal), and Hannah Battell (one goal) scored as Whitman-Hanson defeats Plymouth North, 8-7, in Patriot League competition.

BOYS LACROSSE

Will Levrault (five goals, two assists), Kenny Wisniewski (three goals, two assists) Colin McKay (three goals, two assists), Jake Cusson (two goals, three assists) and Kevin O’Connor (two goals, 4 assists) led Apponequet to a 16-9 win over Middleboro.
In the Catholic Conference, Brendan Powers (three goals) and nine other players scored as St. John’s Prep defeated St. John’s (S), 12-4.

Connor McCarthy scored four goals and Gavin McCarthy added three as Whitman-Hanson (5-10) edged Plymouth North 9-8 in the Patriot League.

SOFTBALL

In a South Shore League matchup, Elsie Testa pitched a one-hitter with eleven strikeouts and finished with a pair of RBI as Abington (16-1) blanked Carver, 12-0.

Mylee Ramer allowed three hits with 15 strikeouts while Madi Narducci finished with a pair of hits and an RBI to boost Bishop Feehan to a 3-2 victory over Braintree in nonleague action. … Lauren Bernaiche struck out 13 and finished with three RBI and three runs scored to lead Apponequet past Fairhaven, 21-4. … Ana Tsonis struck out eight and Zoe Teixeira added three hits with four RBI to lead Greater New Bedford to a 10-1 win over Southeastern. … Taryn Clancy finished with 11 strikeouts while Delaney Blanchette recorded a pair of hits and two RBI as Middleboro defeated East Bridgewater, 7-3.

In a nonleague contest, Ava Day had the win on the mound and also had one hit and two RBI while Bella Fazio was one-for-three with one RBI, two runs, and one walk as Hamilton-Wenham defeated Winthrop 14-2.

In Middlesex League action, Soline Fisher struck out 14 and drove in a pair of runs to lead Arlington to a 4-0 victory over Woburn. … Summer Sands recorded a pair of hits and four RBI as Wilmington defeated Burlington, 15-3.

In a Northeastern Conference game, Rachel Dana allowed a pair of hits with eight strikeouts while Brooke Braswell finished with two hits, two stolen bases, two RBI and two runs scored to lead Lynn Classical to a 6-2 win over Lynn English.

In Hockomock League action, Taylor Marino struck out seven while Crystyliah Covel and Paige Taylor knocked in the tying and game winning runs to lead Oliver Ames past Canton, 4-3.

In a Catholic Central contest, Jill Ondrick struck out eleven while Alyssa Burke and Ashley Caruso added home runs as Archbishop Williams defeated Arlington Catholic, 11-6.

HOCKEY

The A Shot For Life Hockey Classic will take place this Sunday at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton from 2-7 p.m. The boys game will start at 2, followed by the girls game. The ASFL Classic is the hockey sibling to the ASFL Challenge (Basketball), ASFL Baseball/Softball Home Run Derby and Pitchers Challenge, the ASFL Bowl (football), ASFL Clash Against Cancer (Lacrosse) and the ASFL Courage Cup (Soccer). These initiatives are a hybrid between a fundraiser and a

competitive athletic event.
