GIRLS LACROSSE

In nonleague action, Quinn Gavin notched her 100th point with a first quarter goal, and Mia Kearney scored the winning goal in overtime to give Waltham a 10-9 come-from-behind win over Wakefield. … Halle Greenleaf (two goals, four assists), Lyla Greenleaf (two goals, four assists), Allie Wile (two goals, assist), Estelle Gromko (two goals) and 10 other players found the net for Ipswich in an 18-2 victory over Danvers. … Kerri Finneran (six goals, three draw controls), Kierstyn Zinter (four goals, four draw controls) and Jackie Tattan (three goals) paced things offensively for Central Catholic (6-0-0) in a 16-8 win over Weymouth.

TJ Downing (four goals, assist) Alexa Landry (hat trick), and Maya Santos (two goals, assist) and Lexi Annantuonio (two goals, assist) fueled Milford in a 14-10 Tri-Valley League win over Bellingham.

BOYS LACROSSE

Owen Rosas scored five goals as Somerville (2-3) edged Revere 7-6 in the Greater Boston League.

Tommy Farrell scored four goals and dished an assist, while Colin Willoe (three goals, assist) and Trey Keane (goal, three assists) registered four points each as North Andover (1-3) defeated Melrose 11-8 in the opening round of the Players Cup. … The Scarlet Knights will face Reading, who defeated BC High 11-10 in overtime on Nate Mulvey’s fifth goal of the contest.

Willy Robinson dominated offensively with nine goals to power Scituate (3-2) past Hanover 19-8 in the first round of the Chowda Cup.

Carson Palmer struck for five goals and supplied an assist, and Chase Russo (four goals, assist) Jaason Rothwell (three goals, two assists) and Liam Keaney (three goals, two assists) turned in strong offensive performances as well as Swampscott coasted to an 18-3 Northeastern Conference victory over Gloucester.

Jake Vana, Drew Bossi and Oliver Rosselli each recorded two goals as St. John’s Prep (4-0) defeated Bishop Guertin, 10-7,

SOFTBALL

Sharlotte Stazinski pitched a gem, striking out 12 and allowing just one hit and two walks over five innings, while Grace Todd (3-for-3, three RBI, two runs) and Ariana Kreuzer (2-for-3, double, two runs) paced the Walpole offense in a 10-0 nonleague victory over Franklin. … Emma Penniman notched 12 strikeouts in the circle and two hits at the plate, and Mallory Johnson cranked a two-run home run as Triton (2-1) took down Malden Catholic, 11-1. … Hayden Haskell struck out eight and hit a three-run home run, and Melanie Blood pitched two hitless innings as Swampscott bested Manchester Essex, 14-4. … Alaina Martin and Joslyn Roberts homered for Dedham in a 15-3 win over Stoughton. … Amelia Simons (three-RBI double), Anya Zupkofska (2-for-3, triple, two RBI) and Sophia Levering (2-for-3, two RBI) rose to the occasion offensively, and Sophia Hahn struck out seven and earned the win in the circle for Nobles in a 9-4 victory over Austin Prep.

Becca Harris drove in four runs as Tewksbury rolled to a 14-2 win over Andover in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

BASEBALL

Zach Faro drove in three runs and earned the victory as North Andover (4-0) defeated Methuen 10-4 in the Merrimack Valley Conference. … Max Dyer pitched four innings of relief and drove in the winning runs with a two-run double for Andover in a 7-5 win over Tewksbury.

Liam Powers was 2-for-3 with three RBI as Mystic Valley defeated KIPP 9-4 in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.

Sam Garrity went 3-for-4 with a triple, while Max Deroche fanned six and allowed just two earned runs as Braintree (4-1) defeated Dennis-Yarmouth 4-1 in a nonleague contest. … Ryan McCausland allowed one hit in five innings for the win, while going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI as Wellesley defeated Concord-Carlisle, 10-0. … Alex Munchbach and Andrew Daley had three hits each, while Jack Reyes finished with 11 strikeouts over six innings as Weymouth topped Hingham, 7-5. … Ben Maiorano had two hits and an RBI and didn’t commit any errors at third base for Bellingham (3-2) during a 2-1 win over Bishop Feehan. … Jake Doherty and Ryan O’Keefe pitched complete games for Nauset (5-1) in a doubleheader sweep of Duxbury. … Jack Darcy hit a two-run single, and Charlie Bushley and Alex Parisi combined for 11 strikeouts and two hits allowed in a 2-1 BC High (5-0) win over Barnstable. … Ryan Baker (three innings, seven strikeouts, no earned runs) and Evan Yakavonis (four innings, two hits allowed, earned run) stepped up on the mound, while Jason Nye (two hits), Cam Beltramini (RBI double) and Johnny Walker (RBI double) paced the Whitman-Hanson (5-1) offense in a 4-1 win over New Bedford.

D.C. Brown fanned eight and earned the win on the mound, while George Slauson (2-for-3) and Cody Quinn (2-for-2, walk, two runs) set the tone offensively for Plymouth North (2-2) in an 11-1 win over Silver Lake in the Brad Martin Tournament.

John Hegarty pitched five scoreless innings, and Chuckie Cappello and Hugo Owens had multiple hits for St. Mark’s in an 11-5 Independent School League win over BB&N.

Max Gaudiano had four hits (including a double), drove in three runs and scored a run, while Aidan McCarthy pitched five scoreless innings and Charlie Maki struck out four in relief to record the save as North Quincy defeated Quincy 9-1 in the first round of the Sully Tournament.

VOLLEYBALL

Kenzel Lantano had 27 assists and seven aces as Lynn Classical (5-1) defeated Wakefield 3-0 in a nonleague contest.

FOOTBALL

The second annual A Shot For Life Bowl will take place this Sunday at St. Sebastian’s from 1-6:30 p.m.. The 7-on-7 flag football games will take place for the beginning of the day and the kickers challenge will take place to conclude the event.
