Picture Worlds opens today at the Carlos Museum
Picture Worlds: Greek, Maya, and Moche Pottery highlights the narrative power of terracotta vessels from three distinct ancient cultures. Featuring heroic adventures, divine encounters, and legendary events, these ceramics reveal how the Greeks, Maya, and Moche visualized their society, myths, and cosmos through art. Now on view at the Carlos Museum through Dec. 15, the exhibition explores storytelling as a dynamic means of social engagement.
