Road rage incident in Sandy Springs leads to shooting


Sandy Springs Police are investigating a road rage incident on northbound GA 400 this morning that ended with a motorist being shot.

Officers responded at approximately 7:14 a.m. on Sept. 30 to GA 400 just north of Windsor Parkway after a report of a motorist being shot. They learned that aggressive driving allegedly led to road rage between two motorists, with one of the drivers shooting the other.

The injured motorist was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Criminal Investigation Division detectives arrived on the scene and took over the investigation.

Anyone with information about this road rage incident on GA 400 (northbound) between Lenox Road and Windsor Parkway, possibly involving a dark colored Tesla with tinted windows and dark rims, is asked to contact Sandy Springs police detectives at 770-551-6937.
