As Alex Cora suggested would be the case Saturday night, Rafael Devers will miss his fourth straight game due to shoulder soreness in Sunday’s series finale against the Los Angeles Angels.
Bobby Dalbec will get the start at third base instead, with Pablo Reyes starting at second, David Hamilton at shortstop and Ceddanne Rafaela in center field.
With the Angels starting their second left-hander of the weekend, Tyler Anderson, the Red Sox will once again roll out a righty-heavy lineup. Reyes will bat second, Tyler O’Neill (right field) will bat third and Bobby Dalbec fifth. Connor Wong will also get the start at catcher, batting seventh.
The Red Sox will counter with Opening Day starter Brayan Bello, who enters at 1-1 with a 4.11 ERA through his first three starts.
With Saturday’s win the Red Sox are back over .500 at 8-7 and are tied with the Tampa Bay Rays for third in the AL East. A win Sunday would give the club its second straight series victory over the Angels after taking two out of three in Anaheim last weekend.
