Quick Bites Sept. 26: Beltline jazz brunch, a new Reynoldstown market, and Breaker Breaker’s anniversary

The owners of Cabbagetown restaurant JenChan’s opened Mikkelson’s Market on Flat Shoals Avenue in neighboring Reynoldstown. Expect prepared and grab-and-go food, breakfast sandwiches, aebleskivers (Danish pancake-like puffed pastries), and smørrebrød (Danish open-faced sandwiches). Refuge Coffee Co., a nonprofit organization providing competitive-wage jobs, mentorship, and job training for resettled refugees and other immigrants, is hosting a 5K and one-mile fun run on Sept. 28 starting at 9 a.m. in Clarkston. To register for Run to Brew Hope visit here.
Beltline bar and restaurant Breaker Breaker in Reynoldstown will celebrate its first anniversary on Sept. 29, starting at 11:30 a.m. The celebration will include slushies, popular dishes from past and present menus, Jell-O shots, and more. Expect a dunk tank, gator toss, airbrush artist, and limited edition merch. Follow on Instagram for updates.
Be sure to stop by happy hour at the recently reopened Lure Saltwater Kitchen and Bar in Midtown. From 4-6 p.m. they are featuring half-priced oysters, select bottles of wine – sourced from sustainable, regenerative organic and biodynamic farming – a limited menu of shareables, and cocktail or wine-by-the-glass specials.
Toastique, a gourmet toast and juice café, will open its first Atlanta location on Sat., Oct. 5. in Hanover Midtown. The first 100 guests will receive $50 in reward dollars with a $10 purchase. Their menu will feature gourmet toast creations, smoothies, bowls, cold-pressed juices, coffee, and grab-and-go options.
The Eastside Beltline location of One Flew South, owned by Chef Todd Richards, will begin offering a Sunday jazz brunch, starting Oct. 6. Look for dishes like chicken and waffles and spicy shrimp omelets, as well as dishes prepared table side all set to live jazz. Brunch takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations highly encouraged.
Potbelly, known for their subs, salads, and shakes, is bringing 15 total shops to the Atlanta area, beginning January 2026. Storefronts are planned for locations like Buckhead, Midtown, Roswell, Chamblee and more. For more updates follow their Instagram here.
