Quick Bites Oct. 10: Halloween food specials, Diwali celebrations, a Creole seafood boil, new restaurants, and more.

Update! Followers of Quick Bites will recall that Ford Fry’s Buckhead and Piedmont Heights locations of al carbon restaurant Little Rey are now serving up Pumpkin Spice Soft Serve. From now until Oct. 20 they are also donating all proceeds from the ice cream to World Central Kitchen’s relief efforts in Western North Carolina.

Have you noticed that Superica Dunwoody has been closed? No need to fret – they not only reopen today (along with a menu refresh) but are also keeping some all-time favorites in the lineup. Menu highlights include a tuna tostada appetizer, redfish al carbon, and crispy pork belly carnitas.

Ready for a seafood boil? Marcus Bar & Grille’s Chef Gary Caldwell is teaming up with Chef Robert Butts of Twisted Soul for a special “Gary & Friends” event on Wed., Oct. 16. From 4-10 p.m., enjoy an evening featuring a Creole seafood boil paired with a complimentary Navet cocktail, DJ, and a variety of local vendors – in addition to the happy hour and a la carte menus. You can make your reservations here.

Time to gear up for the Full Moon Fest at Halfway Crooks Beer in Summerhill on Oct. 18. Guests can expect a mini art market and live music showcasing seven local vendors and three musical acts. Find out more via their Instagram here.

Signature Latin cuisine is at the heart of the Saborea fundraiser for mental health nonprofit Ser Familia. Twelve chefs will participate in the Oct. 19 event at Omni Hotel at Centennial Park, highlighting dishes like paella with black squid ink, smoked pork with pickled red onion and sweet plantains, empanadas, and tres leches. Tickets can be purchased here.
