Among the more than 12,000 finishers of the 2024 Philadelphia Marathon was Gloria Vasquez, a 73-year-old grandmother from Kissimmee, Fla. It was her 94th marathon, and moved her closer to her goal to run 100 before she turns 100.
Vasquez, a mother of four and grandmother of eight, got support along the route from members of her family, some even ran with her for a while. And she’ll be back next year. Her granddaughter who lives here said she’d pick up her registration fee for the ’25 marathon. Continue reading…
