Out on Film has announced the lineup for the 37th edition of the film festival, which runs from Sept. 26 – Oct. 6.
According to a press release, Anthony Schatteman’s “Young Hearts” will play opening night of the festival, while Marco Calvani’s “High Tide” will play closing night.
Centerpiece screenings at the festival include “Duino,” from filmmaker Juan Pablo di Pace; “Becoming a Man in 127 Easy Steps,” from filmmakers Andrea James and Puppett; and “What a Feeling,” from filmmaker Kat Rohrer.
According to the release, the festival will host 15 world premieres as part of the 2024 festival. In total, the event will include 35 features, five streaming-only films, and 111 short films.
“Our 37th Anniversary presentation is a wonderful celebration of celebrated films from all around the world and from Atlanta,” Festival Director Jim Farmer said in the release. “We’ve never had this much ATL in our festival.”
According to Farmer, there are 12 short films from Atlanta-based filmmakers represented in the festival, along with two feature documentaries – “Light Up” from Ryan Ashley Lowery and “Transcendence” from Didi Paulini and Jennifer Spell.
The festival also includes multiple international selections, including “All Shall Be Well” from Ray Yeung (Hong Kong), “The Astronaut Lovers” from Marco Berger (Argentina), “Chuck Chuck Baby” from Janis Pugh (U.K.), and “Elle” from Antony Hickling (France).
