Police arrested an assistant principal in Queens Wednesday for allegedly showing porn to a student, according to NYPD officials.

Michael Budhu, 52, was taken into custody just after noon at John Adams High School in Ozone Park, where he’s listed as the assistant principal.

According to police, Budhu showed explicit pictures and videos to a 15-year-old student. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse in the third degree.

Police did not say how the images were shared but the city’s Special Commissioner of Investigation has urged the Department of Education to tighten up its practices around employees communicating with students on social media. The agency has reported numerous inappropriate communications between department employees and students.

The DOE did not immediately return a request for comment.

Budhu’s LinkedIn page shows that he’s been working for the DOE for 17 years. Information for his lawyer was not yet available early Thursday.
