North Springs students awarded collegiate athletic scholarships

Nine North Springs High School seniors have been awarded athletic scholarships, according to the school.

“As part of the leadership team in the Spartan Athletic program, it is always a joy to see our athletes advance to the next level of their athletic careers. We have no doubt that all of them will excel and represent Spartan Nation with pride,” North Springs High School Athletic Director Keith L. Thomas said in a press release.

The students, their sports, and commitments included:

Baseball

  • Ryan Zaparaniuk, Sewanee: The University of the South

Basketball

  • Esmer Madesko, Lasell University

Football

  • Jamier Smith, Georgia Military College
  • David Cooper V, Missouri Baptist University
  • Zion Solomon, Capital University
  • Joshua McIntyre, Defiance College

Track

  • Layla Keadle, Washington & Lee University
  • Jordan Frank, University of Kentucky
  • Demetrius Moore, Oglethorpe University
