Newly opened Porterhouse Grill shut down by Brookhaven Police

Porterhouse Grill and Bar has been shut down by Brookhaven Police for operating without a business license less than one month after opening.

According to Brookhaven Police, Porterhouse, located at 1410 Dresden Drive, has not passed their safety inspections with the DeKalb County Fire Marshall, and therefore have not been issued a business license.

“Porterhouse was issued a citation earlier in the week by code enforcement for operating without a business license,” said Brookhaven Police Chief Brandon Gurley. “They opened again [May 24] and were issued another citation for operating without a business license.”

Opening on May 4, Porterhouse has made no physical changes to the space since taking over Kaleidoscope Pub, which shuttered on April 28 after 14 years. Porterhouse has also taken over K-Pub’s old Facebook account.

The restaurant is owned by Anil Sodadasi, who operates a second location in Athens, GA.
