The final restaurant is now open at the new Forth Hotel in the Old Fourth Ward, joining Bar Premio cafe, Mediterranean restaurant Elektra, and rooftop cocktail bar Moonlight.

Billed as an Italian steakhouse, Il Premio serves a menu of USDA prime cuts of beef and A5 Japanese wagyu, grilled seafood and raw bar selections, and pasta dishes like bucatini all’amatriciana and rigatoni all’astice with lobster and lobster roe butter.

In addition to Italian-leaning cocktails, expect a menu of Italian wines, amari, and digestifs and what’s described as a “showy” martini service from the bar at Il Premio.

As for the design, Il Premio keeps the mid-century cafe and bar vibes of Bar Premio next door on the ground floor and Moonlight on the 16th floor going. The restaurant features a glazed brick fireplace, leather banquettes, and reclaimed oak flooring, while an adjoining cocktail lounge includes vintage mid-century chandeliers and a baby grand piano for live music.

But the design at Il Premio also takes cues from Italian Renaissance architecture in stained glassed windows and arched windows between the bar and dining room. A large mural in the restaurant depicts the famous Palio di Siena horse race held every year in Siena’s central Piazza del Campo.

Rough Draft Atlanta reached out to Il Premio for the food and drink menus. Check back for updates.
