A Johns Creek man who worked closely with children at Dunwoody Baptist Church has been arrested by Roswell Police and charged with nine counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials.

Ralph Britt Jr., 59, was arrested on March 24 at the church, according to a release from the Roswell Police Department.

Britt had been under investigation since mid-February by detectives who were looking into reports of child sexual abuse material that were being transmitted locally through peer-to-peer file sharing networks.

After executing a search warrant at Britt’s home, Roswell detectives discovered additional child sexual abuse material and seized multiple electronic items for further processing.

Britt was booked on nine counts of sexual exploitation of children, with additional charges expected. At the time of his arrest, Britt was an employee of DBC, where he has worked closely with children and youth in various capacities over the past 20 years.

According to sources close to DBC, Britt worked at the front desk of the church’s fitness center but was also involved in the organization’s vacation Bible school and worked closely with children from grades K-5.

Roswell Police said that DBC has been fully cooperative with the investigation, which remains active and ongoing.

Britt has a bond of $9,000 per charge, according to the Fulton County Jail online inmate search. It appears that he remains in custody.
