Justice Jackson in Philly; Krasner impeachment win; UArts endowment question


Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is touring the country in support of her memoir “Lovely One.” On Saturday, she’ll be at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, at an event hosted by Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee & Books. The event is already sold out, with about 4,000 people expected. 

The first Black woman to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court will chat with 6ABC News anchor Tamala Edwards about her life and journey to the Supreme Court. We’ll report out on the event in this newsletter on Monday. Continue reading…

Twenty years since the release of their debut album, “You’re A Woman, I’m A Machine,” Death From Above 1979 are marking the anniversary with a tour, including a tour stop Friday at Underground Arts in Callowhill.

“The Philly shows are always such a relief to me because it has that East Coast punk rock energy,” drummer and vocalist Sebastien Grainger said. “There’s always been this very kinetic feeling with Philly.” Continue reading…
