Experience the Delight of Picture Books: Authors Take the Stage

A tribute to planting seeds of gratitude, a relatable romp through the alphabet, an uplifting introduction to inspirational Black women in history and a beloved bear that eats his way through a rainbow of colors.

An image showing two logos and an illustration. The top logo is for the Decatur Book Festival (DBF), featuring three circular stamps in green, red, and orange with the letters D, B, and F respectively. Below this is the logo for "RoughDraft atlanta" in black text. At the bottom of the image is an illustration of diverse hands holding up various colorful books, suggesting a community of readers.

For many of us, we have standout picture books from our childhood that have passed down from generations. It’s a joy to unlock four new children’s titles – live at DBF! Join authors Henry Cole, Jorge Redmond, Michael Sampson and Deborah Wiles for high-energy performances of their children’s picture books.

The panel discussion will be held on Sat., Oct. 5 at 11:15 AM at the Children & Young Adult Stage in the Lower Level of the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Following the panel, authors will proceed to signing tables to autograph books.

Purchase your book from Little Shop of Stories via this link, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the festival.
