In the wake of Hurricane Helene, several areas of Dunwoody are reporting interruptions in utility services and at least one water main break.

According to city officials, as of 11:40 a.m., there is a water main break at 5175 Vernon Ridge Drive, and trees on utility wires at the following locations:

  • Hidden Branches Circle
  • Cherring Lane and Peeler Road
  • Valley View Road
  • Vernon Court
  • Laurelwood Drive
  • Fleur De Lis Place at Fountainbleui Drive
  • Verdon Court (roadway is blocked)

In most cases, the roadways listed are either blocked or closed, awaiting Georgia Power crews to respond.

According to Dunwoody Police spokesperson Michael Cheek, none of Dunwoody’s main thoroughfares are blocked.

“We just have trees down, wires down and side streets closed off – nothing significant,” Cheek said.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is received.
