Atlanta chef Deborah VanTrece is set to debut her new cooking show, “Global Soul Kitchen,” on FYI Network. The series, premiering Mon., Sept. 2, at 10 p.m., will showcase VanTrece’s fusion of international flavors with Southern soul food.
VanTrece, a James Beard Award semi-finalist and best-selling cookbook author, heads the VanTrece Hospitality Group, which operates several Atlanta restaurants. She also curates the American Express Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
“There have been many highlights along this incredible journey,” VanTrece said in a statement. “But there was one dream I had yet to accomplish: my own cooking show.” The 30-minute episodes will feature VanTrece demonstrating dishes that reflect her “Global Soul” cooking style, developed during her time as an international flight attendant.
VanTrece is known for her advocacy work on social justice issues. Her influence in the culinary world has been recognized in major publications, including the 2023 Michelin Guide.
