The Pub @ EAV will replace Elder Tree Public House in East Atlanta Village by the end of September.

Co-owner Bree Towry closed the Irish pub on Flat Shoals Avenue earlier this month and partnered with East Atlanta Village resident Kasie Scott and former Bone Lick BBQ and P’Cheen chef Mike LaSage to reopen it as The Pub @ EAV.

LaSage’s menu will lean into traditional British pub fare, including fish and chips, weekly Sunday roasts, and a dish combining a Scotch egg with eggs benedict. A Cuban Pop Tart (savory hand pie) will come stuffed with ham, smoked pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and spicy mustard. LaSage also plans to serve a selection of pasta dishes. Expect late-night dining and Sunday brunch, too.

Look for a refresh of the interior to include live plants, a color palette of greens, blues, and dark woods, a copper-topped bar, and exposed brick walls featuring artwork from local artists. Two garage doors will open to Flat Shoals Avenue with outdoor seating at the front and back of the restaurant.

Each week, The Pub will offer everything from live music and sporting events on its televisions to pop-ups and games like darts and poker.

The space was previously home to Blue Frog Cantina until 2012 when then-owner Brent Cunningham transformed his Mexican restaurant into Elder Tree Public House. The pub became a hot spot for watching soccer in EAV.

469 Flat Shoals Avenue, Atlanta.
