The Patriots seem to be going all out for Tom Brady’s induction into the team’s Hall of Fame.

Brady’s ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday evening at Gillette Stadium, will have “outstanding, surprise guests,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said at the Myra Kraft Community MVP Awards last week, per ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

“Over his career, he showed some of the great values of America overcoming the odds through hard work and being a great human being. It will be great that we have a full stadium to honor him, which includes hundreds of his former Patriots teammates,” Kraft reportedly said. “We’ll also have some real outstanding, surprise guests that are coming out of respect to Tommy and his legacy. We’re honored to have his whole family and all the fans that respect what he did for us.”

Of course, Kraft didn’t say who those guests would be, which would defeat the purpose of it being a surprise. But there are some possible logical guesses as to who could show up. While most of the details of the event have been kept under wraps, the event could resemble what the Celtics did on “Larry Bird Night” in 1993, Reiss reported in April. The highlight of that night was Magic Johnson arriving and wearing a Celtics shirt under his Lakers warmup.

If something similar happened at Brady’s event, maybe those in attendance could expect Peyton Manning to show up at Gillette Stadium in Patriots gear of some sort. Manning isn’t the only notable rival of Brady’s career though, having memorable matchups with Eli Manning, Patrick Mahomes, Ray Lewis, and several others in his career.

The big question seems to be whether Bill Belichick will attend the event or not. While the Patriots and Belichick agreed to part ways in January, Kraft reportedly warned Falcons owner Arthur Blank to not hire his team’s former coach this offseason.

Belichick attended Brady’s roast in May and has spoken highly of the quarterback since his departure in 2020. He also took a shot with Kraft at the comedy event, though it did appear to be a little bit awkward between the two.

As many guess whether Belichick will attend the event or not, “hundreds” of Brady’s former teammates are expected to be in attendance at Wednesday’s event, Reiss reported earlier in June.

A “limited” number of tickets were made available to purchase to the event by the Patriots. However, the team opened up seats in the 300s sections at Gillette Stadium.

The event for Brady will begin at 7 p.m., 90 minutes prior to the scheduled tip-off for Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Mavericks. NBC’s Mike Tirico will serve as the host of the ceremony.
