In the span of just two days, MBTA Transit Police arrested three men in separate incidents involving alleged or attempted sex crimes within the transit system.

Around 3 p.m. Monday, transit police responded to Ashmont station for a report of a man who was allegedly trying to touch women inappropriately. Officers located the 37-year-old man on the platform and learned that he had warrants out for his arrest, according to a post on X.

Transit police said the man also allegedly had cocaine on him when he was taken into custody.

The following day at 10 p.m., officers arrested a 42-year-old Jamaica Plain man accused of indecently assaulting a woman on an Orange Line train. The man was taken into custody at Jackson Square station, transit police said

Later on Tuesday, transit police arrested a 64-year-old Boston man around 11 p.m. after he was allegedly caught “upskirting” a 15-year-old girl with his cellphone. “Upskirting” refers to surreptitiously photographing a person’s private areas, particularly under a skirt or dress; the practice is illegal in Massachusetts

Officers arrested the man at Back Bay station and seized his cellphone, according to transit police.
